Universal remote codes for TCL TVs
The short answer
Which codes you need depends on the remote in your hand, not just on the television. This page lists every verified code we hold for TCL TVs, grouped by the remote that uses them — One For All's published Contour TV list and Jasco's four GE code-list versions. Find your remote below and work down its codes in order.
TCL's entry is short, and it overlaps almost completely with Thomson — 2675, 3779 and 2715 are listed for both. TCL acquired Thomson's television business, and the code list still shows it.
If your remote is neither a One For All Contour TV nor a GE remote, the codes on this page will not program it — every manufacturer indexes its own table. Use the search method instead, which needs no list: it walks the remote's own codes until the television responds.

Codes are only meaningful to the remote whose table they come from. A GE code will not program a One For All remote and vice versa, and GE's own four versions — CL3 to CL6, printed inside the battery compartment — are not interchangeable with each other either. Always use the block that names your remote.

Point the remote at the device and make sure the device is switched on.

Press and release the device key (TV, AUD, DVD or SAT).

Enter the 4-digit code from the list. The indicator blinks once per digit.

Press POWER. If the device turns off, press SET once to lock the code in.

Every TCL TV code on this page
All 23 unique codes, shortest first. Useful if your remote is not listed above — most remotes share large parts of their tables, so a code from a neighbouring brand is often worth a try.
TCL and Thomson share codes
In the official list, Thomson is given 0625, 2675, 3779 and 2715, and TCL is given 3779, 2715, 2675 and 2530. Three of four are identical. TCL acquired Thomson's television business, and the command sets stayed together.
That makes Thomson the first place to look if the TCL entry does not cover your set — a far better bet than working through unrelated brands.
Roku TV models and what the remote reaches
On a TCL Roku TV, a correctly programmed remote controls power, volume, mute and input, and the directional keys navigate the Roku interface normally. The branded app-shortcut buttons on the Roku remote send commands no universal table carries.
The Roku interface has no conventional input menu — pressing INPUT usually returns you to the home screen rather than opening a source list. That is expected, not a near-miss code.
The power-state quirk on TCL sets
Many TCL televisions use a fast-start power state rather than switching fully off, so the usual pairing test can be ambiguous: the screen goes black while the set stays partly awake, and a second press within a few seconds may do nothing.
Test with the volume keys instead. The volume overlay appearing on screen is unambiguous and does not depend on the set's power behaviour.
When it doesn't work
The TV responds once, then ignores the remote
That is the fast-start power state rather than a failing code. Wait a few seconds and try again, or test with volume rather than power.
None of the four TCL codes work
Try the Thomson entry from the same list — 0625, 2675, 3779 and 2715. The two brands share three of four codes, and Thomson carries one TCL does not.

What is the universal remote code for a TCL TV?
On a One For All Contour TV the published TCL codes are 3779, 2715, 2675 and 2530. If none work, the Thomson entry in the same list shares three of those four and is the natural next step.
Why are the TCL and Thomson codes the same?
TCL acquired Thomson's television business, and the infrared command sets stayed together. Three of the four TCL codes in the official list are also listed under Thomson.
Can a universal remote control a TCL Roku TV?
Yes, for power, volume, mute, input and the directional keys, which is everything needed to navigate the Roku interface. The branded app-shortcut buttons are not reproducible over infrared.
Do I have to re-enter the code after changing the batteries?
On almost every modern remote, no. Codes are held in non-volatile memory and survive a battery change. If power and volume stop working immediately after a battery swap, re-enter the code — a few older models do lose their programming when left without cells for several minutes.
