How to reset Subwoofer

Sources checked · how we check

Start with the subwoofer and host model numbers. The example below reconnects a Samsung wireless subwoofer to its included soundbar; it is not a universal factory reset.

01 · Start here

Before resetting your device

  1. For the Samsung system in the source, leave the bar active, unplug only the subwoofer for five seconds, then reconnect it.

02 · Reset and reconnect

Reset and reconnect your Subwoofer

Before you start

ID SET establishes a wireless link. Do not apply this procedure to an unrelated wired or wireless subwoofer.

Samsung wireless subwoofer reconnection

ID SET → remote Mute or model-specific control

  1. With both units connected to power, hold the subwoofer's ID SET until standby goes out and the blue LINK light flashes rapidly.
  2. With the bar off, hold Mute on its remote until ID SET appears. Some models use Up or a dedicated ID SET control; check the manual.
  3. Turn the bar on while blue LINK is flashing. A steady blue light confirms connection.

Frequently asked questions

Is pairing the same as factory reset?

No. This procedure restores a wireless link; it does not claim to erase the subwoofer.
