Roku streaming players have no power button. Roku designs them to stay on and connected, using little power, so turning one off means cutting its power or letting it rest.

  1. On compatible players, auto power savings puts the player into a low power mode after 20 minutes idle. It wakes when the TV turns on or you press a remote button.
  2. To power it off manually, Roku suggests a Roku Indoor Smart Plug SE, or a power strip with a power button or a smart outlet that cuts power when not in use.

Players powered from the TV's USB port turn off when you turn off the TV, and restart when you turn it back on.

If the setting doesn't change

If a USB-powered Roku player restarts every time you turn on the TV, that's expected: Roku says players powered from the TV's USB port turn off with the TV and must boot up again when it turns on.
