How to reset Blink camera

This procedure covers the original plug-in Blink Mini. Outdoor cameras, newer Mini models and Sync Modules need their own instructions.

Before resetting your device
- For a Mini showing a red light, unplug it and reconnect power before resetting.
- Check that your router is working and the camera can reconnect.

Reset and reconnect your Blink camera
Before you start
Mini's reset button does not restore default settings, remove the thumbnail or detach the camera from its system or account.
Original Blink Mini
Bottom reset button → Setup mode
- Keep the Mini plugged in. If it shows solid red, press its bottom reset button for more than five seconds.
- Use a paperclip or small screwdriver, not a sharp pin. A slow blue blink indicates readiness to add it to a system.
After the reset
Reconnect through the Blink app using the Mini setup or Wi-Fi instructions linked in the source.
Frequently asked questions
Does resetting Mini remove the previous account?
No. The reset button does not delete the camera from its account or system.
