How to turn off location on Snapchat

Snapchat's Ghost Mode hides your location from everyone on the Snap Map. You can turn it on for a few hours or until you turn it off.
01 · Before you start
Check these first
- Snapchat says that with Ghost Mode on, your location is still shared with Snap, but isn't visible to anyone else on the Map.
02 · Change the setting
Step by step, by device
Turn on Ghost Mode
Map → gear icon → Ghost Mode → choose a timer
- Open the Map.
- Tap the gear icon in the bottom right corner to open Map Settings.
- Turn on Ghost Mode and choose how long to stay in it: 3 hours, 24 hours or Until Turned Off.
If the setting doesn't change
Snapchat warns that Snaps you submit to Snap Map can still show up on the Map, whatever location setting you choose.
