How to turn off a Fitbit

Only some Fitbit devices can be turned off. On those, you shut them down from the Settings app on the device.

Check these first
- Google says shutting down your Fitbit doesn't delete any data.
- If your device isn't listed below, it doesn't turn off.
02 · Change the setting
Step by step, by device
Sense series, Versa 3, Versa 4
Settings app → Shut down
- Open the Settings app and tap Shut down, then confirm.
- To turn it back on, press and hold the button until you feel the watch vibrate.
Versa, Versa Lite Edition, Versa 2
Settings app → About → Shutdown
- Open the Settings app, then About, then Shutdown.
- To turn it back on, press the back button.
Blaze
Swipe to Settings → Shutdown
- From the home screen, swipe left to Settings, tap Settings, then Shutdown.
- To turn it back on, press any button.
If the setting doesn't change
If you can't find a shutdown option, your Fitbit may be a model that can't be turned off: Google says devices not on its list don't turn off.
