Before you confirm
The factory reset erases all personal information and any device and smart home connections. The Action-button reset keeps smart home connections.
Keep smart home connections
Action · 20 seconds
- Press and hold the Action button for 20 seconds.
- Wait for the light ring to turn off and on again.
Factory reset
Microphone off + Volume down · 20 seconds
- Press and hold the Microphone off and Volume down buttons together for 20 seconds.
- Wait for the light ring to turn off and on again.
After the reset
The Echo is in setup mode. Set it up again before using it.
