How to rotate the screen in Windows
Sources checked · how we check
A screen that's suddenly sideways or upside down is set to a different display orientation. Change it back in Display settings.
01 · Before you start
Check these first
- Windows recommends an orientation for your screen, marked in the list.
- If you change a monitor's orientation on purpose, for example to portrait, you'll also need to physically rotate the screen.

If the setting doesn't change
If the picture is still sideways, open Settings → System → Display again and pick the orientation Windows recommends. If you use a monitor in portrait, Microsoft notes you also need to physically rotate the screen to match.
