How to turn vibration on or off on Samsung and Pixel phones

Samsung phones have three sound modes: Sound, Vibrate and Mute. You can also set how strongly the phone vibrates for calls, notifications and touches.
01 · Before you start
Check these first
- The sound options in Quick settings cycle through Mute, Sound and Vibrate each time you tap them.

02 · Change the setting
Step by step, by device
Quick settings
Swipe down → tap the sound options (Mute → Sound → Vibrate)
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Tap the sound options to cycle through Mute, Sound and Vibrate.

Settings
Settings → Sounds and vibration → Vibrate, Sound or Mute
- Open Settings and tap Sounds and vibration.
- Tap Vibrate to turn vibration on, or choose Sound or Mute.

Change vibration strength
Sounds and vibration → Vibration intensity
- In Sounds and vibration, select vibration intensity.
- Drag the sliders for incoming calls, notifications and touch interaction left to reduce the vibration, or right to increase it.

Google Pixel
Volume button → Ring / Vibrate, or Settings → Sound & vibration → Vibration & haptics
- Press a volume button. Above the slider on the right, tap Ring, then tap Vibrate to switch to vibrate. Turn Vibrate off or Ring on to go back.
- To turn vibration off everywhere, open Settings → Sound & vibration → Vibration & haptics and turn Use vibration & haptics off.
Keyboard vibration has its own switch in the same Vibration & haptics menu.

If the setting doesn't change
If the phone still vibrates, check vibration intensity in Settings → Sounds and vibration: calls, notifications and touch interaction each have their own slider.
