Samsung calls it Power saving; Pixel calls it Battery Saver. Both limit background activity to make the battery last, and can switch themselves on at a set battery level.

If the setting doesn't change

If Battery Saver keeps turning on by itself on a Pixel, check Settings → Battery → Battery Saver: Turn on based on battery level switches it on automatically at the level you set, and Turn off at 90% switches it off as the phone charges.
