How to reset Kasa smart plug

Sources checked · how we check

Kasa plugs and switches have two resets on the same button: a short hold keeps your configuration, a longer hold erases it.

01 · Start here

Restart before erasing your setup

  1. Try the soft reset first if you only need to reconnect to a new Wi-Fi network: it keeps your configuration and puts the plug back into setup mode.
